150-Room Hotel Near Ontario Airport Trades in $15MM Deal

A recent hotel deal is adding to a number of similar transactions in the Inland Empire. In the transaction, a 150-unit hotel in Ontario sold for $15 million, or about $232 per square foot. Public records show that the property was purchased by an entity tracing to Jingjing Wang from an entity tracing to Haixio Lin. 

The hotel, also called Hotel d’Lins Ontario Airport, is located at 3400 Shelby St. on 3.26 acres. The hotel stands 12 stories tall and totals 76,430 square feet. 

The hotel also includes several onsite amenities, including parking for up to 185 vehicles, a shared lounge and business center. 

The property is also just down the road from the Ontario International Airport and various retail amenities, including Ontario Mills, a 1.3 million square foot shopping center. The property is also situated just off both Interstates 10 and 15, offering convenient access to the Greater Los Angeles area. 

Overall, the Inland Empire has seen a number of similar deals take place in recent months. In one sale that closed in December of 2022, Ayres Hotels sold its 105-room Ayres Hotel Ontario Mills property for $15.3 million, or about $145,714 per room. The property, located at 4395 Ontario Mills Parkway, was acquired by an entity linked to Greens Group. 

In Barstow, another similar transaction was recorded in November of 2022. In that transaction, Jagan Nath Investment Inc., an entity linked to Basant L. Bhatia purchased the 110-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Barstow for $16.1 million, or about $146,363 per room. The property is located at 2700 Lenwood Road and was sold by an entity linked to Henry H. Lee and Kitty C. Lee.
