For the first time in a decade, Beverly Hills will welcome a large-scale luxury condominium development. Proposed by developer SHVO in partnership with luxury hotel brand Mandarin Oriental, the $464 million project will offer 54 brand new condominiums and is expected to be completed no later than the end of the year.

“In partnership with Mandarin Oriental, we are creating one of the most exclusive residential properties in the heart of Beverly Hills, bringing together several of the world’s most coveted brands and partners to create a new standard of luxury living,” said Michael Shvo, Founder, Chairman and CEO of SHVO, in a statement. “Having been a frequent guest at Mandarin Oriental properties globally, I appreciate and value their services, amenities and high attention to detail they bring to the guest experience.”

According to the property’s website, 9200 Wilshire will total 307,397 square feet and reach six stories. As well as its luxury residences, the property will offer 6,650 square feet of retail space, which will include a restaurant by Michelin-Starred Chef Daniel Boulud.

Boulud will also operate a private rooftop pool service and lounge and exclusive dining experience for building tenants. Other luxury amenities at the property include a private garage with valet parking, a dedicated concierge team, library, lounge area and several meeting spaces.

The 73-foot tall building was designed by architecture firm MVE+ Partners, and features a glass exterior split into two residential wings. The wings wrap around a central courtyard, which opens out to Wilshire Boulevard. Referred to as Palm Courtyard, the space will contain lush, green landscaping and a bonsai garden.

Located in Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle, the area is home to luxury shopping, restaurants and hotels. These include theBeverly Hills Hotel & Bungalows, The Beverly Hilton, Beverly Wilshire, L’Ermitage, The Peninsula, Sunset Marquis Hotels and Villas and Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills.

In general, Beverly Hills has seen plenty of new development in the past several years. Current project underway include One Beverly Hills, a mixed-use development encompassing approximately 1.3 million square feet of retail, hotel, residential and public and private outdoor space; a 17-unit residential project that recently received approval at 9908 Santa Monica; and a 46,000 square-foot office property at 9000 Wilshire Boulevard that is set to be completed in October.

The new development at 9200 Wilshire is SHVO’s first Beverly Hills project. In total, the New York-based company’s portfolio consists of 13 luxury residential buildings in New York City, San Francisco, Miami Beach and Chicago.
