600,000 SQFT Mixed-Use Entertainment Center in Buena Park Hits the Market

A 600,000 square-foot mixed-use entertainment center in Buena Park has been put on the market. The property, called The Source, is being sold by developer and operator  M+D Properties after its owner, an entity associated with Golden Capital Venture LLC, recently filed for bankruptcy. 

Located at 6940 Beach Boulevard, The Source opened approximately four years ago and consists of retail and office space. A hotel and residential space are in development at the property site. 

“The Source offers a unique, innovative dining and entertainment experience that is unprecedented in Southern California. The Source will also showcase state-of-the-art technologies including Times Square-esque LED’s located at the pedestrian entrance of The Source,”  M+D Properties’s website states. 

In total, The Source houses 400,000 square feet of rentable retail space, which was completed in 2016. Included in the space is dining, retail and various entertainment options.

Additionally, The Source is home to a seven-story office building which includes 50,000 square feet of rentable space. According to M+D Properties, It is one of just several Class A office developments in North Orange County. Currently, the top four floors are occupied by various tenants, with some including Allstate, RAEL, ESRUSA Holdings, Golden Street Financial and Advanced Medical Management as well as many others. 

While on the market, The Source is continuing to expand with 300 residential units and a 178-room hotel currently under development at the entertainment complex. The hotel also will feature a full-service restaurant, fitness center, conference space and a pool.

The Source is located in Buena Park, near various other commercial, retail and hotel properties. Hotels nearby include the Days Inn by Wyndham Buena Park, The Radisson Suites Hotel Anaheim-Buena Park and Holiday Inn Buena Park. The property is also just off State Road 91 and Interstate 5.
