CBRE Promotes Val Achtemeier and Anthony DeLorenzo to Vice Chairman

Los Angeles – CBRE announced it promoted Debt & Structured Finance professional Valerie Achtemeier and Capital Markets’ Anthony DeLorenzo to Vice Chairman, the highest producer ranking at the firm.

“Achieving the Vice Chairman title is an unbelievable feat under any circumstances, even more so given the nature of the past 18 months,” said Lew Horne, President – Greater LA, Orange County & Inland Empire. “This is a very well-deserved recognition for two of our most accomplished professionals in this region and nationwide.”

Based at the firm’s regional headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles, Ms. Achtemeier leads a capital markets team at CBRE, working closely with key CBRE investment sales professionals, including West Coast National Partners’ Vice Chairmen Darla Longo and Barbara Perrier. Ms. Achtemeier also collaborates regularly with the company’s Data Center Investment Sales Team led by Kristina Metzger and with key CBRE DSF leaders in the facilitation of large structured-finance assignments. In her role, Ms. Achtemeier has helped facilitate a total debt volume of more than $5 billion this year.“

Val is a preeminent professional and incredible role model to so many in this industry,” said Executive Managing Director Andrew Ratner. “She is hard-working and determined, and given her decades-long expertise, she has been invaluable to her clients and instrumental to the success of many other women in the industry, advocating their recruitment and advancement.”

Mr. DeLorenzo, based at the company’s Newport Beach office, has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience and co-leads an Investment Properties team with a focus on dispositions, joint ventures, recapitalizations and advisory services within the office, industrial and medical segments throughout California, Arizona and Nevada on behalf of institutional clients, high net worth owners and foreign investors. Over the course of his career, Mr. DeLorenzo has helped facilitate the sale of more than 700 properties in excess of $9 billion in consideration.

Added Newport Beach-based Executive Managing Director Kurt Strasmann, “We are thrilled to see Anthony’s incredible efforts be rewarded with tremendous success in multiple areas. Despite these most challenging times, he and his team have not missed a beat and continue to deliver unmatched value and expertise to their clients as well as colleagues.”
