Institutional Property Advisors Expands with Established Office and Industrial Broker in Southern California

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), announced today that office and industrial property investment advisor Mark DeGiorgio has joined IPA in El Segundo, California.

“The strategic expansion of IPA’s office and industrial business throughout North America continues to be one of our priorities,” said Alan Pontius, senior vice president and national director of the firm’s Office & Industrial Division. “Mark’s experience and understanding of both asset classes bolsters our capabilities in the South Bay and collectively with our teams throughout the Southern California and Southwest regions.”

Previously a director with JLL, DeGiorgio joins IPA as senior director. In this role, he will execute both office and industrial property transactions on behalf of large private clients and institutional investors throughout Greater Los Angeles. DeGiorgio has 10 years of experience handling acquisition, disposition, equity placement, and debt transactions for clients, including PIMCO, EverWest, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Tishman Speyer, Angelo Gordon, SteelWave, UBS, TA Realty and Fortress Investment Group.

“Mark is an excellent addition to our IPA team and fills an important role in the expansion of the division in Southern California,” said Dawson Rinder, regional manager, in Marcus & Millichap’s South Bay office. “I look forward to working with him as we extend our investor-focused research, proprietary marketing technology and capital markets solutions to even more commercial real estate investors.”

“The IPA platform provides an ideal structure to enhance the level of advisory service I was previously able to deliver to my clients,” said DeGiorgio. “I am looking forward to building on the momentum achieved over the last few years in the Greater Los Angeles region.”

DeGiorgio serves on the Urban Land Institute’s Office & Commercial Local Product Council as the vice chair of engagement and is a member of NAIOP’s YPG Alumni Committee. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance, with a concentration on investments.
