Republik Coffee Opens 1,500 SQFT Location in Downtown Burbank

Burbank, CA (February 16, 2024) — Republik Coffee is now open in Downtown Burbank. The expansion marks the second location for the locally owned coffee shop and wine bar recognized for its high-quality, locally-sourced ingredients and hand-crafted syrups all made in house.

The 1,500 square-foot location at 164 E Palm Ave. joins a growing list of hip eateries that have opened in the City’s core such as Artelice Patisserie, Cafe Grano, Silverlake Ramen, Over/Under Public House, and some that are coming soon like Kalavares, Slice House, and Sunright Tea Studio. These new additions are due to the efforts of Burbank’s Economic Development team and its work to increase the amenities and walkability of Downtown Burbank as more housing is planned for the core.

“The personal attention I received from the City’s Economic Development team and business concierge services made all the difference. That is why we chose Burbank for our second location,” shared Republik Coffee co-owner Nader Kaiser.

“We knew this would be a great location for the café and a popular destination for locals and visitors,” said Economic Development Manager Mary Hamzoian. “With the addition of Republik Coffee, Downtown Burbank enhances its reputation as a trendy urban neighborhood with quality shops and unique restaurants.”

Burbank recently added 93 new housing units to Downtown in 2023 with the completion of Phase 1 of the First Street Village apartments, Phase 2 will be completed in 2024 adding 83 more units. Looking ahead, an additional 573 units are under construction as well as a 307-room hotel and much more marking a new era for Downtown.
