By Catherine Sweeney

Toll Brothers is one step closer to completing Escena, a planned single-family housing community in Palm Springs. According to Vizzda records, the housing developer paid $10.3 million for 8.48 acres that are roughly bounded by Gene Autry Trail and Chia Road. The property was sold by an entity affiliated with EMP2 LLC.

Located at 4221 Lumina Way, the site is proposed for 40 single-family lots.Lots range in size from 5,473 to 9,325 square feet, with an additional 0.93 acres of open space.

According to a landing page for the community on Toll Brothers’ website, Escena would provide four single-story home designs that would range anywhere from 2,500 to 2,700 square feet. The luxury homes would provide two to three bedrooms as well as 2.5 to 3.5 bathrooms and attached two-car garages. The community also includes a pool and spa.

The community would be located near a number of offsite amenities as well, with the Escena Golf Club within close proximity. Downtown Palm Springs and Palm Springs International Airport are also nearby.

“The inspiring contemporary, international, and mid-century home exteriors perfectly complement the open-concept home designs and Palm Springs setting. The highly sought-after desert climate provides year-round recreational opportunities for hiking, biking, golfing, and high-end shopping,” the property’s website states.

Headquartered in Pennsylvania, Toll Brothers was founded in 1967 and currently builds in 24 states nationwide and in 60 markets.
