Veterans Affairs Takes 62,000 SQFT of Sorrento Mesa Lab Space, the Only Public-Sector Deal Among San Diego’s Largest Leases

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs signed a 62,000-square-foot new lease for Class B lab space in Sorrento Mesa in the third quarter, the fourth-largest San Diego lab deal of 2026 and the only public-sector transaction among JLL's 10 biggest, arriving as venture money for local biotechs has dropped to its lowest level since late 2024.
