A mixed-use development totaling 1,155 residential units will soon be available to Los Angeles residents. Named Ferrante, the behemoth development by G.H. Palmer Real Estate Development is set to open in March of 2022.

Once completed, the apartment complex will reach seven stories and total 1.8 million square feet. The mixed-use building will be situated at 1000 W. Temple Street on approximately 9.3 acres and will include a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom unit options. According to the property’s website, the units will range in size from 366 square feet to 1,138 square feet. Rental rates also range from $2,195 to $4,115, and will include a number of luxury features.

“Each studio, one- and two-bedroom luxury apartment for rent is highly appointed with every upgrade and feature that can only be found at Ferrante. With an endless list of fine touches including contemporary kitchens featuring stainless steel whirlpool appliances, granite countertops, rich European-style maple wood cabinets, and included washer and dryer, these quality residences will be sure to please and inspire,” the project’s website states.

The project also will include 30,000 square feet of retail space as well as 2,606 parking stalls in a  seven-story parking garage. 1,500 long-term bicycle parking spaces and 180 short-term bicycle parking spaces also will be provided for future tenants.

The development will also include several luxury amenities throughout the building including a lobby, coffee bar, wine cellar, pool and spa, a conference room, lounge and a large gym space offering cardio, strength training, and pilates.

The project site was once home to a ten-story office building as well as an adjacent four-story office building. Both buildings were demolished in 2019 to make room for the Ferrante project.

Ferrante is located just north of downtown Los Angeles at the junction of State Roads 101 and 110. Nearby are a number of single family and multifamily properties, such as Canvas Apartments, Promenade Towers Apartments and Belmont Station Apartments, among others.

The property is also near both the 297-unit Visconti and the 1,072-unit Orsini, which were both developed by G.H. Palmer Real Estate Development. The company currently has several other residential properties under construction. These include the 996-unit Mission Gorge in San Diego, the 306-unit Willows at Ventura and the 925-unit Vineyards in Ontario, Calif.
