While the Inland Empire is largely known for its industrial commercial real estate deals, various other types of property sales have been seen in recent months. In one deal, a 17-unit senior facility was sold in Ontario for $10.44 million, or about $614,117 per room, according to public records. That property was acquired by entities linked to Fuqiang Liu, which acquired 66 percent ownership in the property, and Shuangfeng Liu & Hao Hong, which acquired 34 percent ownership of the property. The selling entity is linked to Ben Ellenberg.

The property is located at 718 East Maitland St. and consists of 17 rooms for seniors. The property totals 10,080 square feet and was built in 1969, records show.

The property is located in the southeast side of Ontario, within close proximity of the Ontario International Airport. The property is primarily surrounded by single family homes as well as various businesses. Nearby Interstate 10 and State Route 83 also provide easy access to the site.

Other property sales have been recorded in Ontario over the past several months.

In May, for instance, Convenient Holdings acquired The Landing Apartments, a 156-unit apartment complex located at 3364 Honeybrook Way. According to The Registry’s previous reporting, the property traded for $50.5 million, or $323,718 per unit.

In another deal that closed in January of this year, a hotel in Ontario sold for $15 million, or about $100,000 per room. Public records show that the property was purchased by an entity tracing to Jingjing Wang from an entity tracing to Haixio Lin. The hotel is called Hotel d’Lins Ontario Airport and is located at 3400 Shelby St. on 3.26 acres.
