City Ventures Breaks Ground on 59-Unit Townhome Project in Artesia

ARTESIA, Calif. — City Ventures, California’s leading builder of eco-forward, solar, all-electric homes is breaking ground Wednesday, April 3, 2024 on Eginhouse, a new live/work townhome redevelopment project in Artesia. Formerly an industrial site, the 4.2-acre property – located at the southwest corner of Arkansas Street and Pioneer Boulevard – will consist of 59 three-story townhomes, including 22 live/work units plus 4,544 square feet of ground-floor commercial space.

Eginhouse is part of Artesia’s continued renaissance, and is the only redevelopment project located in the northern end of town. “We’re thrilled to play a role in revitalizing this dynamic area of Artesia,” said Ryan Aeh, Executive Vice President of City Ventures. “This property is tucked away in a unique corner of town with many perks, including great schools and convenient access to freeways –– which will be a plus for both future residents and commercial tenants.”

The property’s unique name, with “Egin” derived from Basque roots that translates to “maker,” symbolizes the vision behind the development. “As a live/work community, Eginhouse aligns with the idea of a creative, entrepreneurial spirit. It’s a place of opportunity,” said Aeh.

In addition to its ideal location, Eginhouse is also situated within the renowned ABC Unified School District, and Cerritos College is nearby.

“Repurposing a once-blighted commercial area with sought after residential in a vibrant storefront lined street scene is a win-win for everyone,” said Natasha Zabaneh, President of City Ventures. “Together, we’re creating new possibilities for residents and tenants here in Artesia.”

City Ventures is looking forward to officially breaking ground on Eginhouse onsite with city officials, city staff, and other notable partners on the project tomorrow, April 3, 2024.
