JGKallins Investments Newport, the entity tied to the owner of the 24-acre land beneath the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach, has filed a preliminary application to build The Newporter Villas, a 175-unit apartment building with ground-floor retail and 908 parking spaces on a hotel surface lot at 1107 Jamboree Road.
