Industrious, a leading provider of flexible office spaces, has recently expanded its footprint in the Los Angeles area with the opening of a new coworking location at Westwood Center in Westwood, California. The company has inked a leasing agreement with landlord Douglas Emmett for 20,752 square feet of prime coworking space in West Los Angeles, Commercial Search reported.

Situated within a prominent 22-story tower at 1100 Glendon Ave., the new location at Westwood Center offers a range of amenities, including valet services, 24-hour security and on-site storage. With 234 desks available, Industrious aims to cater to the growing demand for flexible workspace solutions in the bustling Westwood area.

The Westwood Center property, which spans 333,830 square feet, is home to various tenants, including Savills, Gemini Partners and several law firms, according to the report. Douglas Emmett acquired the building in 2016 as part of a larger portfolio transaction totaling nearly $1.4 billion. In 2021, the landlord secured a significant $625 million loan for its properties, further underscoring the strategic value of the Westwood Center location.

The building offers convenient access to Interstate 405, downtown Los Angeles, The Getty, Santa Monica Airport and the University of California. Its central location makes it an attractive destination for businesses and professionals seeking flexible workspace solutions in the region.

In addition to the Westwood Center location, Industrious has announced plans for another coworking space in Santa Monica, scheduled to open in winter 2024. The upcoming location, spanning 23,331 square feet and accommodating 242 desks, will further enhance Industrious’ presence in the vibrant Santa Monica market.

Owned by Douglas Emmett and located at 808 Wilshire Blvd., the Santa Monica location will offer businesses and professionals a modern and flexible workspace environment just four miles away from Westwood Center.
