Port of Long Beach Leases Berth 48 to Bluecore Energy for California’s First Nuclear Project in 50 Years

The Port of Long Beach has cleared a path for the first new nuclear power project in California in half a century, leasing waterfront space and signing a federal cooperation pact to test barge-mounted small modular reactors built by a startup less than a year old.
