Suffolk Leader Appointed to San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to Provide Perspectives on Construction, Real Estate and Regional Economic Growth

General Manager of Suffolk San Diego joins San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors in 2023, advocating for positive business collaboration throughout the region

SAN DIEGO–Suffolk, one of the largest and most innovative real estate and construction enterprises in the country, today announced that Zach Hammond, General Manager of Suffolk San Diego, has been appointed to the 2023 San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

In his role, Mr. Hammond will leverage his expertise in the construction industry to support the chamber in leading political advocacy for business collaboration throughout San Diego to encourage positive growth and change opportunities across the region. As real estate continues to serve as a major driver of regional economy, Mr. Hammond brings a unique, valuable perspective to the chamber of commerce as it focuses on important issues, including job creation and housing solutions, that support families and neighborhoods throughout the entire region.

As a 15-year veteran at Suffolk, Mr. Hammond has experience leading projects across many sectors, including hospitality, residential, affordable housing, office, education, life science and assisted living. In his current role as general manager, he leads the Suffolk San Diego team as it expands its footprint and expands its presence in high-growth sectors including higher education, transportation and aviation, bringing innovative solutions to the region’s most complex building challenges.
