While much of the office sector has seen a trend toward tech companies reducing their space, some companies continue to grow their office space in Southern California. According to recent industry reports, one company to expand its headquarters is TikTok. The firm has grown its Culver City office by 53,000 square feet.

The firm has expanded its space at 5800 Bristol Parkway by 44 percent, making its total space in Culver City 173,000 square feet, according to a report from Urbanize LA. TikTok has been headquartered in Culver City since 2020.

The building, also called C3 at Culver Pointe, was developed by IDS Real Estate. The building stands seven stories and totals 281,400 square feet. The building is fully leased to a mix of tenants, including TikTok as well as Dentsu, Henkel and Red Light Management.

“Representing a paradigm shift in office design to better fit the needs of media, technology, entertainment, and knowledge-based tenants, C3 features expandable 33,800 square foot floors, 13-25 foot ceiling heights with exclusive lofts, exterior staircases and 15 foot-wide balconies that capitalize on the coastal climate, and private access via dedicated bridges to/from the adjacent parking structure,” IDS Real Estate’s website states.

Despite a significant trend toward companies reducing their office space, several other companies have also made plans to expand within Southern California.

Apple, for instance, recently signed a 55,667 square foot lease in Irvine. According to The Registry’s previous reporting. Apple signed a lease within an Irvine Company-owned building at 17800 Canyon Road. The four-story, 115,000 square foot building is part of the larger 1.1 million square foot Spectrum Terrace office campus.
