The Department of War committed $29.3 million in Defense Community Infrastructure Program grants to three California base communities, bankrolling a rebuild of the only road into Fort Hunter Liggett, an aviation maintenance training hangar near Edwards Air Force Base and new transportation access at Twentynine Palms.
