The ever-evolving landscape of Inglewood is set to welcome a new addition in the form of a Marriott-branded hotel. Proposed for development at 3640 West Century Blvd., is a five-story Fairfield Inn hotel.

According to a recent report from LAYIMBY, the 150-room hotel proposal comes from Bhagat Investments – Century, LLC, and has already received planning commission approval. The project is designed by architecture firm AXIS/GFA, with interior designs by Level 3 Design Group.

The hotel’s design is contemporary in style and features a number of onsite amenities for guests, including a ground-floor bar and lounge. A main feature of the hotel would be the scenic sixth-floor amenity deck, which offers views of SoFi Stadium, the Santa Monica Mountains and the iconic Hollywood Hills.

Strategically situated near the renowned SoFi Stadium and the Intuit Dome, the Fairfield by Marriott would be a prime destination for sports enthusiasts, concert-goers and visitors attending various events at these venues.

Construction for the project is scheduled to commence in March 2024, and completion is anticipated in March 2026.

Over the past year, California as a whole has seen a significant decline in new hotel development, with Los Angeles leading the state with the most development overall. According to a mid-year hotel development survey by Atlas Hospitality Group, a total of six hotels opened in Los Angeles County during the first six months of 2023. At the same time, there were 21 hotels and just over 2,300 rooms being built and an additional 230 hotels and 35,000 rooms in planning.
