The landscape of Pico Rivera is set to change as the city embraces revitalization efforts. Orange County-based Brandywine Homes has received the green light to convert the aging Knights Inn hotel on Rosemead Boulevard into a modern, gated townhome community.

The 95-unit complex, located at 6540 Rosemead Blvd., designed by Danielian Associates, will replace the existing hotel. Sixteen three-story structures will give form to the four-acre site, providing two-, three-, and four-bedroom options for homebuyers. Residents will enjoy the convenience of 214 parking spaces, as well as a common pool amenity.

The new townhomes on Rosemead Boulevard align with the broader vision for Pico Rivera. City officials are in the process of zoning updates, anticipating a new bus rapid transit line and an upcoming Metro Rail stop. This project positions itself at the heart of this transformation, hoping to bring an influx of new residents looking to capitalize on upgraded transportation options and a revitalized neighborhood.

Construction on the project is expected to span roughly 32 months.

This development isn’t Brandywine Homes’ first foray into the Los Angeles housing market. The developer has spearheaded similar townhome projects in cities like Whittier, Long Beach, and Carson. Its track record, combined with the location of 6540 Rosemead, suggests that these new townhomes may be highly sought-after by families and professionals looking for comfortable living spaces within a revitalized urban environment.
