LA Council Sends Palisades Mansion-Tax Exemption to November Voters, Putting $32MM of Measure ULA Revenue in Play

The Los Angeles City Council voted 13-1 to let November voters decide whether homes destroyed or damaged in the January 2025 Palisades Fire should be freed from Measure ULA's transfer tax for five years, a carve-out the city estimates could drain as much as $32 million a year from its affordable-housing fund.
